4-Minute Pasta Sauce

1/2 cup virgin olive oil
1/2 cup diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup fresh fennel or sweet anis, chopped
1/4 cup Italian parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh basil
1 cup white wine
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
32 oz chopped tomatoes in puree

In a large frying pan, add half of the olive oil and butter and melt to blend. Add the onion, garlic, fennel and lightly brown. Add the white wine, crushed tomato puree, red pepper flakes, basil, parsley and the rest of the olive oil. Cook at high heat for 2 minutes to bring to a quick boil.

Your fresh great pasta sauce is now ready to serve!
